Throughout the years, Spectrum's primary objectives have been to meet or exceed customer expectations, provide world class customer service & provide a system that everyone can use!


Fred Rood, President

Fred Rood founded Spectrum Voice Technologies, Inc. in January of 1987. During the first 14 years of operation, Spectrum pioneered automated call processing, voice messaging, and custom Interactive voice response (IVR) technology for the health care industry.

In 1999, Fred elected to utilize Spectrum’s experience to move forward with Web Based application software for the home care industry. What started as a simple Clock in – Clock out Telephony system has evolved into one of the top Home Care Scheduling Systems in the market today. Although new features are added monthly, Fred’s primary objective remains to keep the system simple to use. This goal is achieved by allowing customers to add features as required that either solve issues or improve profitability.

Spectrum TeleTrack now services customers in all 50 states as well as Canada. The emphasis moving forward is to allow Agencies to virtualize their businesses. This is accomplished through mobile apps that are the market leader in functionality and ease of use.

Chris Callahan, Vice President

Chris Callahan has 20 years of experience in the home care industry. Prior to joining Spectrum, Chris owned and operated seven (7) Comfort Keepers franchises in the greater Chicago area for 9 years . Chris was among Comfort Keepers most successful owners, and was known for his ability to deploy technology in his business. In fact, Chris was one of TeleTrack’s first customers back in year 2000.

Fred asked Chris to join Spectrum in 2009 in order to provide the expertise required to take Spectrum TeleTrack to the next level. Chris Callahan’s experience has allowed Spectrum to develop a Home Care Scheduling System that is truly designed from the owner’s point of view.

In addition to his scheduling platform expertise, Chris has QuickBooks / Payroll / Invoicing knowledge that is admired by everyone in the industry. This ability has allowed Spectrum to develop end to end back office applications that are truly unique in the industry.

Moving Forward

Fred and Chris spend a great deal of time these days developing staff and positioning the business for continued growth. Although they are easy to reach, Spectrum has a very capable team to work with you on a day to day basis. Spectrum’s entire staff comes from the home care industry. We believe in bringing people in that can hit the ground running, and often bring new ideas and concepts that evolve the product even further.
